My experience dealing with Saracens was nothing short of infuriating. Unfortunately, the buyers of my property chose them as their solicitors, and from start to finish, their handling of the process was chaotic and painfully unprofessional. In particular, Ahranei Sivanathan was responsible for delays that dragged a straightforward, chain-free sale into an exhausting ordeal. Communication was almost nonexistent, weeks would pass before even the simplest update was provided. Equally disappointing was the attitude of Fraz Butt (Co-founder), who showed no initiative or accountability despite multiple people reaching out to him directly. Instead of taking ownership or helping to resolve the situation, he offered little more than vague assurances that led nowhere. As the agreed completion date approached, the situation became unbearable. Deadlines were repeatedly missed, reports took weeks to prepare, and when it finally came time to exchange contracts, Ahranei simply disappeared - completely unresponsive at the most critical stage. Every other party in the chain was ready, yet we were all left waiting on one email that never arrived. The stress this caused was immense and entirely avoidable. Delays happen, but this went far beyond that. It was a clear case of poor management, lack of care, and disregard for everyone involved. I sincerely hope future clients think twice before entrusting Saracens with anything important.

Taiba Iqbal was amazing in the sale of my leasehold flat. She would respond within the hour, if not quicker and I never felt like I couldn't ask her a question. We exchanged and completed on the same day which is always stressful especially as we had three solicitors involved (seller, buyer and landlord), she just got on with it and was determined to ensure completion happened and it did. I couldn't be happier.

I had a very disappointing experience with Saracens Solicitors while they handled my property conveyancing. The communication was poor, and I was asked to fill out the same information multiple times. More concerningly, they refused to provide a secure method for uploading sensitive documents without an extra fee. They wanted to charge £12 per request just to use a secure upload service or otherwise insisted on insecure methods like email or post. In the age of GDPR and data protection, I found this completely unacceptable. I would not use them again and cannot recommend them based on this experience. It is my hope they, and other firms like them, improve their processes going forward.

Avoid dealing with this company at all costs. I had the misfortune of the buyers of my property choosing Saracens to act as their solicitor, and the service they provided to their clients was utterly shambolic. I’d like to take this opportunity to call out Ahranei Sivanathan. Never in my life have I witnessed gross incompetence and negligence on such a scale. A chain-free transaction took nearly seven months, and this was almost entirely the fault of Ahranei, with each response taking weeks. I say “almost entirely” because it is also important to acknowledge the role of Fraz Butt (Co-founder) in this process. Fraz demonstrated a total lack of interest, professionalism, and empathy in his reluctance to support his clients during this process, with multiple parties involved in contacting him to escalate the issue, only to receive a limp response, if any at all. Every avenue was explored in an attempt to get a response from these two, with their clients even going into the office in person, only to be told that they would not be met by anyone who could resolve the issue. The situation reached fever pitch in the final month when the completion deadline, which had been outlined from the start of the process, was approaching. Ahranei would repeatedly miss deadlines she created for herself (e.g., taking two weeks to produce the report) and was completely unresponsive on the day we needed to exchange and the subsequent days. The level of stress for everyone involved was unimaginable when everything was ready to go but reliant on this one person sending an email. I understand heavy workloads, as is unfortunately a reality for many of us, but being unable to prioritise your client’s necessary exchange after seven months is completely unacceptable. The unnecessary stress this firm caused us was absolutely brutal, and I hope there are repercussions for their actions.
