Reviews
I hired Daniel to assist with two legal matters—one regarding my commercial landlord and one involving fraud against my company. He suggested sending formal letters to both parties, which I agreed to. However, when I asked about potential next steps if we didn’t receive a response, he was vague and dismissive, saying, ‘Let’s cross that bridge if we get there,’ rather than providing a clear plan. I also had to remind him of details about my case on multiple occasions. Last Wednesday, I called to discuss next steps, but instead of returning my call, Daniel emailed asking why I had contacted him. I responded, requesting a call, but he never replied. After receiving no response, I called Sterling Law on Friday to express my concerns about his lack of communication and professionalism. I followed up with Daniel again on Saturday, asking for a Monday call, but he remained unresponsive. Since I still hadn’t heard from him by today, I contacted the firm again to request a different lawyer. Not long after, Daniel messaged me, accusing me of complaining about him and asking me to formally justify my concerns via email. I found this highly inappropriate—clients should feel comfortable raising issues with a firm without being confronted by the lawyer in question. Additionally, I was told today that formal complaints must be submitted via email, yet when I initially called on Friday, the firm took my complaint over the phone without mentioning this policy. If an email was required, they should have informed me at the time, rather than taking down my complaint verbally. Given that they had already documented my concerns, it seems unnecessary to submit the same complaint again. This entire experience was unprofessional from both the lawyer and the firm. I strongly advise against using their services.
