This is the only class class action I have taken part in, and although it took several years from start to finish, I'm glad I participated. I believed what VW had done (cheating emissions!) was both wrong and indefensible. I had owned the car from new and following its emission modification it never ran smoothly again, despite repeated returns to the Audi main dealer. The form filling wasn't overly difficult and there was a need to occasionally confirm the details and ownership as still correct. Apart from this there was nothing else to do except read the updates from Slater and Gordon detailing the latest court hearings. Then finally a very pleasing update arrived, saying VW had conceded and agreed to pay compensation. About three weeks later a cheque arrived in the post and the sum I received was very close to what was anticipated.. Taking part in this was not worrying at any point and I definitely think it was the correct thing to do. Slater and Gordon did all of the work and kept me well informed about progress and likely outcomes.

As part of the legal dispute concerning the VW emissions scandal, I have been impressed with the regular updates regarding court proceedings and everything that Slater & Gordon have been doing in fighting the consumers corner. The outcome has been a positive one and I am sure that this is down to their hard work and diligence in this matter. It's a well done and thanks from me...

I used Slater and Gordon as part of the joint emissions claim. I was kept regularly informed, with status updates, over the 5/6 years it took to complete. The emails were easily understood and online questionnaires straight forward to complete. All in all, I was extremely happy with their support in arriving at a successful conclusion.

Slater & Gordon made the process of taking action for my VW claim relatively straightforward and painless. Apart from a few teething problems with the portal, the whole process has been smooth and (importantly to me) hasn't had a negative time impact. The frequency and depth of updates was about right and I always felt that despite some legal procedures taking a long time the overall claim was always moving forwards After an initial scepticism, I was delighted to have Slater & Gordon in my corner on a no win no fee basis and felt the commission deducted was fair. I would probably accepted that VW had got away with 'stitching up' the UK buyers of their vehicles with false test figures and not being able to pursue them myself would have done nothing. However Slater and Gordon contacted me and I was very happy to allow them to take on VW on my behalf. Plenty of updates and many years of trying and result -- I have received some compensation. I would thoroughly recommend Slater and Gordons and their service.
