These solicitors were recommended to me via a broker. Vicky (a partner) rang me shortly after being introduced to discuss the sale of my garage. She said she’d send over the agreement and terms & conditions — then nothing. I waited weeks with no documentation, despite repeatedly chasing. Unfortunately, this lack of communication set the tone for the rest of the transaction. My experience with Solomons was mostly speaking to call centre reception or sending unanswered emails. It was disorganised and deeply frustrating. My agent and even the buyer’s solicitor struggled to get in touch with Vicky. My broker also had to chase her multiple times. When Vicky did eventually call, she acted as if nothing was wrong — not acknowledging the stress or the time wasted trying to get a response. Then on completion day, Vicky rang asking for my bank details (at midday), told me to release the keys to the buyer — and then didn’t pay me. I had to email multiple times and only got a response after 5pm. She finally called me back at around 5.30pm saying, “I’m doing it now.” If I hadn’t chased so persistently, I might not have been paid at all. Selling a property is stressful enough without having to deal with unresponsive and careless solicitors. This experience was unacceptable, and yes — I will be making a formal complaint.

Thank you once again Solomon and Solicitors for your help with our application, our case was a bit complicated, but Ali and his team were ready to row their sleeves and got to work, until everything was done. Thank you Ali, for the sacrifice you did that Friday, staying late until the application forms were completed, I loved how they cared for us during this process which was overwhelming for us, I would recommend 100% and would use them again, as I know all hands will be on the deck until everything is sorted.
