Unfortunately severely affected by our buyers using this firm. Chain free sale and first time buyers, this company managed to make an 8 week transaction take nearly 6 months. Completely unnecessary delays, asking for enquiries that were already answered and only the threat of pulling out of the chain made things move along. The delays cost us in excess of £5k and nearly lost us our new home, never mind the tole on our mental health. Sadly unable to log a formal complain as we werent actually their client, otherwise I'd be seeking compensation for costs incurred. Avoid at all costs if you want a quick stress free transaction.

Worst Conveyancing solicitors known to man. Takes months and very delayed process. Our solicitor never picked up his phone. avoid like the plague if you want a quick and stress free process. Even simple searches took months to come back.

We had a good experience with Birchall Blackburn. Ryk was responsive and answered all our requests in a timely manner. The portal they used was also very helpful, making it easy to track progress. We completed our first house purchase in just over three months. Overall, we were happy with the service!

Avoid, avoid, avoid. The people we’re buying a house from are using Birchall Blackburn and they have been worst solicitors I’ve ever had the displeasure of dealing with. We had the offer accepted on the house one week after we accepted an offer on ours, yet our house sale has been ready to complete for over a month while the purchase involving Birchall Blackburn is still nowhere near completing due to their abysmal service. They have routinely taken over a month to respond to enquiries and when they do respond they are usually missing answers to some of them. It has also proven impossible to get any updates from them while waiting for these responses, our solicitor, the estate agents and the sellers have all tried to contact them multiple times and have not heard anything back.

AVOID!!! I was recommended Birchall by my mortgage broker and I would avoid both of them! Im a first time buyer who has been taken advantage of, a simple chain free, first buyer purchase took 4 months. Good luck if you want a response via email or phone call. I dealt with Karen and she loves a holiday with no communication before she goes away the week before my completion. I called the office and they advised that nobody would be covering her workload and I'm to wait two weeks. Useless and will never use them again or recommend!
