I am profoundly dissatisfied with Slade Legal’s handling of my late father’s estate (a medical director for the NHS with over 40 years of service). As a grieving son and beneficiary based in Madrid, I was misled into believing there was no will and forced to locate it myself—a stressful and wholly unnecessary burden. Once obtained, alongside medical records raising serious concerns (testamentary capacity, interested witnesses, suspicious circumstances), I sought basic transparency. Instead, I faced repeated, deliberate refusals to provide even the most basic information, including the identity of the will writer, and was denied the basic respect of having my father’s name used in correspondence. Polite enquiries were met with aggressive accusations of “harassment,” while correspondence from Tim Healy (solicitor) and Lauren Offers (paralegal) was consistently defensive, dismissive, and obstructive, showing a total disregard for professional duty and decency. Slade Legal repeatedly attempted to intimidate me and silence legitimate scrutiny—tactics that failed utterly. Thanks to the steadfast support of my father’s friends and colleagues in Spain, his story and the circumstances of his will will not be hidden or silenced. Communication was appalling and insensitive, cooperation entirely absent, and professional standards profoundly lacking. Their conduct amplified grief, deliberately blocked transparency, and denied any chance of closure. I strongly caution anyone considering Slade Legal for probate or estate matters to avoid them entirely.

No it's correct for the poor ongoing handling of my Aunties estate in Didcot. Property is sold and we are waiting for your accountant to finalise CGT it's now 11 months since her house was sold, new owners are in and we can see they are doing renovations. Just get it sorted

We used Slade Legal for conveyancing for the purchase and sale of homes. They were always very helpful with keeping us updated and answering all questions/clarifications we had through the process making it feel smooth. Would highly recommend and will definitely use again in future.

Complete farce having to award one star when they did nothing ... Contacted them Thursday 6th November & somebody would call me back ... No call back so phoned again Tuesday 11th November to be told an email has been sent & I will be contacted by Friday 14th November ... No contact so wasted eight days of my life waiting for these time wasters.

This is the second time that I have had the pleasure of working with Tom at Slade Legal and both times I have been blown away at how easy he made the entire moving process. I really appreciated how proactive and hardworking Tom was throughout both house moves, and he was always available and incredibly knowledgeable whenever we had questions. It was so great having the reassurance that the move was in great hands, during what could potentially be a stressful period.
