Having filled out the enquiry form on the firms website, I received a telephone call on a Saturday morning to discuss our case. We were already well into the process of appealing a decision to deny our daughter a student loan, so ultimately didn't use the legal channel, as that appeal was successful.However, the tone of the call was helpful, clear, and supportive, without being pushy. We were clear about our options going forward, and had made the decision, that, in the event of our appeal failing, we would then enrol the help of this solicitors firm.

This company are representing the defendant in a case with me. Their solicitor Louise has sent me a letter that breaks the Solicitors Regulation Authority Principles which are: Principle 1 – Act in a way that upholds the constitutional principle of the rule of law and the proper administration of justice - Principle 2 – Act in a way that upholds public trust and confidence in the solicitors’ profession - Principle 5 – Act with integrity. This solicitor lied about my rights to a Subject Access Request for my data because I was personally recorded using cctv with facial recognition and audio recording. She stated that my face and voice are not my personal data and my SAR should be withdrawn. She also lied about me having authority when her client has written documentation with signatures which is why I was allowed onto a controlled site and to discuss the matters of the claim before it was a claim. I assume this is common practice to act illegally amongst solicitors, its called a "classic aggressive pushback letter". However, aggressive pushback and outright illegal from a trained solicitor are 2 different things.
