Started out with a solicitor who mercifully no longer works at this firm, however the fact that they did work here for me sadly does reflect on the firm. The individual in question was retained for a legal aid case pertaining to family law. They went on to work with the oppositional party to withhold documents from me as early as 2023 and failed to raise evidence that was provided which solidly disproved many of the claims being made - on the occasions I was given a response I would be told things such as “we’ll discuss that later” or “it’s not relevant”. I’ve since had the same information looked at by another solicitor who much like myself believes it was all relevant. Sadly I also discovered that the individual I retained at this firm failed to disclose that if I followed them to their next firm (while they were telling me they were leaving to work for themselves - an odd thing to be dishonest about yet they were nonetheless) that I would be left in a position whereby I could not retain another solicitor when it became abundantly clear that there was a commitment to misrepresentation at play. The cost of me giving that individual the benefit of the doubt has been immense and the damage irreparable. If nothing else this should serve as a warning not to follow a solicitor to another firm unless you are entirely confident that they’re following your instructions to the letter.

From the start of an initial enquiry phone call which was actually answered and within a reasonable time with an immediate sound of your call is important with an air of professionalism then an eager voice willing to help asking exactly the details of the enquiry to be quickly passed on to someone who has the time to deal with the enquiry with confidence to resolving and/or promising to have the issue sorted within that day (actually 3hours) to have the matter written up on paper in a layout that was easily understood and clearly presented. Small efficient precise confident professional. That's all you can ask for ... full marks.
